PORT VILA, Vanuatu (RADIO AUSTRALIA) ----- The speaker of Vanuatu's parliament Maxime Carlot Korman has ruled out a motion by the Opposition to hold a vote of no-confidence against the new Prime Minister Sato Kilman. The speaker said the motion is not in order because two members who signed it revoked their signature and Mr Korman said the motion was lodged at the wrong time as parliament goes into recess from 20 December until 20 January The opposition, led by former Prime Minister Edward Natapei, had called for an extra-ordinary session of parliament next Tuesday to debate a motion to oust Mr Kilman who replaced Mr Natapei as Prime Minister after a parliamentary vote. Mr Natapei is expected to file a court action to allow a vote of no confidence against the man who removed him from office earlier this month.
