NUKU’ALOFA, Tonga ---- As Cyclone Tomas moves away from Fiji, its island neighbour, Tonga are on full alert for the approaching cyclone.
As of yesterday evening, people and mariners especially those in the outlying islands of Vava’u, Ha’apai, Tongatapu and ‘Eua have been warned to expect strong winds and damaging swells today.
A strong wind warning remains in force for all of Tonga coastal waters.
