Third Melanesian Arts Festival

Islandsbusiness.com is pleased to bring you coverage of the Third Melanesian Arts Festival in Suva, Fiji, which got underway on  October 4. Almost two thousand artists and dancers from New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu have joined Fijiian artists and performers at the festival to showcase their cultures and traditions through artefacts, visual arts, performing arts and culinary art. An audience of over 20,000 attended the opening function.
